There are several ways to get here by car or coach as the area is well served by road and motorway networks; Périgueux is also easily accessible by train. There are also three airports in the immediate vicinity of Greater Périgueux, which means that you’re spoilt for choice for ways of getting to the Périgourdine capital. In the Greater Périgueux area itself, the Péribus network offers 30 lines and a wide range of transport solutions for getting around the city.

Bordeaux-Mérignac airport: shuttle bus service from the airport to the train station, with a dozen trains a day between Bordeaux and Périgueux.

Greater Périgueux is easily accessible by train, particularly from Paris: Departure from Paris-Austerlitz, via Limoges (journey time between 4h30 and 5h). Departure from Paris-Montparnasse, via Libourne on the TGV (journey time between 2h30 and 4h). Connection to Libourne by regional trains TER.

Greater Périgueux rail shuttle

The TER shuttle links Mussidan to Niversac in 40 minutes.The train serves 9 stations: Mussidan, Neuvic, Saint-Léon-sur-l’Isle, Saint-Astier, Razac-sur-l’Isle, Marsac-sur-l’Isle, Périgueux, Boulazac, Niversac.

There is 1 train every 30 minutes during rush hour stopping only at the main stations (Mussidan, Saint-Astier, Périgueux, Boulazac, Niversac) but 1 train every hour during rush hour stopping at all the stations

By bus
