Valentine's Day in Grand Périgueux

Whether you’re a beginner, an amateur or an experienced photographer… get your cameras ready! The Grand Périgueux Intercommunal Tourist Office is organising a photo competition from 6th December 2023 to 7th January 2024, to showcase the region even more. Tourists and locals alike are invited to take part.

Are you passionate about photography? Do you like Grand Périgueux?

Enter this free competition: Valentine’s Day in Grand Périgueux. Photos may illustrate sites, places or landscapes considered to be romantic, full of love and poetry. Photos must be taken in one of the 43 communes of the urban area.

A competition… and winners!

This photo competition will give entrants the chance to be exhibited or relayed via the digital galleries of the Grand Périgueux Intercommunal Tourist Office and to win one of the many prizes offered by the Tourist Office’s partners.

1st prize: 2 hours’ access to the Château des Reynats Spa in Chancelade, for 2 people.

2nd prize: “Caprice, revue music-hall” show and after-show at Cabaret Voulez-vous in Marsac sur l’Isle, for 2 people.

3rd prize: A Spa break at Perles de Spa in Marsac sur l’Isle, valid for 2 people (access to sauna + hammam + jacuzzi – duration 1h15).

4th prize: A gourmet hamper full of good surprises, in partnership with the Truffle Ecomuseum in Sorges-et-Ligueux-en-Périgord.

5th prize: a voucher for a guided tour of the roofs of Saint-Front cathedral in Périgueux, valid for 2 people.

15 photos will then be selected by a jury made up of elected representatives, association representatives, shopkeepers and independents, who will meet on Tuesday 9 January 2024. They will then be put to the public vote from 13th January to 3rd February 2024.

The 3 winners will be notified of the results by e-mail on Tuesday 6th February 2024, and an awards evening will be held on Thursday 8th February 2024 at the Grand Périgueux Intercommunal Tourist Office at 6.30 pm.

How can you take part?

The photo competition is open to everyone. Each participant must return a duly completed and signed registration form, in accordance with the established schedule. The form is available on the website of the Grand Périgueux Intercommunal Tourist Office and at the tourist information offices in Niversac, Vergt, Sainte-Alvère and at the Truffle Ecomuseum in Sorges-et-Ligueux-en-Périgord.

Entries may be submitted on site (as above) or by e-mail to contact@tourisme-grandperigueux.fr, from 6th December 2023 to 7th January 2024 inclusive.

Photos should be sent by e-mail to contact@tourisme-grandperigueux.fr. File transfer tools such as Swisstransfer or Wetransfer may be used to facilitate the sending of photos.
