Looking for a nice spot to take a dip? The Grand Périgueux has several supervised swimming spots. Well-equipped and shaded, all you have to do is make your choice, put on your swimsuit, grab a towel, and dive in!
The Lake of Neufont
Thirty minutes from the heart of Périgueux, in Saint-Amand de Vergt, lies a unique place. Lake Neufont will delight young and old, sports enthusiasts and gudgeon teasers, as well as sand hunters for a nap or swimming enthusiasts. Surrounded by tall trees providing welcome shade in summer, Lake Neufont is a haven of tranquility in the heart of wild and verdant nature.🍃

👉 Disc Golf and Orienteering
L’étang de Neufont now offers two fun and sporty outdoor activities: a disc golf course and an orienteering race, accessible to all.
- Disc golf is similar to golf, but with a Frisbee! The goal is to throw a disc into baskets in as few throws as possible. This sport, both fun and friendly, can be played alone, with friends, or family, while enjoying the surrounding nature. See the Disco Golf course.
- At the same time, an orienteering race allows participants to search for markers scattered around the pond. An ideal activity to burn off energy while having fun.

These two trails are freely accessible, perfect for an original and free nature outing!
THE ROUFFIAC LEISURE CENTER
The swimming pools of The Grand Périgueux
Between two cultural outings, there’s nothing like the swimming pool to relax and entertain the children. 💦

In the summer, for a less adventurous atmosphere, for pool purists who like to swim laps to prepare for the Olympic Games (you never know! 😉), Le Grand Périgueux offers two complexes: the Marsac-sur-l’Isle and Sorges-et-Ligueux-en-Périgord pools. And all year round (except summer), take a dip in the Bertran de Born indoor pool in Périgueux. At all these aquatic sites, you can sign your children up for swimming lessons and, at the same time, take the opportunity to alternate between front crawl, breaststroke, and butterfly. 🏊
Another swimming spot is the brand new Niversac indoor pool in Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire. Built opposite Niversac train station and the Grand Périgueux Tourist Office, this swimming pool, connected to the greenway, is easily accessible on foot, by bike, by car, or by rail shuttle. It offers five 25-meter-long lanes.
