Perspectives – Exposition de Jean-François Zanette

From October 31 to November 29 2025, the town of Trélissac presents the exhibition "Perspectives" by painter Jean-François Zanette, on view in the entrance hall of the town hall.

Born in 1966, Jean-François Zanette lives and works in Périgord. His work is characterized by a singular atmosphere and perspective, which he develops in series. This "solitary perspective", detached from the subjects depicted, lends his canvases an impression of immutability. With his vivid palette, precise brushstrokes and dreamlike realism, the artist captures moments where the gaze remains suspended.

The series devoted to hats presents isolated figures, from behind, bathed in diffused light. The views of Venice offer another angle: scenes of everyday life observed from a distance, as if frozen in time, leaving the viewer free to interpret.
