Metropolitan Opéra Live : Eugen Onegin

Saturday, 18 April 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at the Espace Culturel André Malraux in Cendrieux, delayed broadcast of Tchaikovsky's EUGEN ONEGIN from the Metropolitan Opera.

Eugene Onegin accompanies his friend Lenski to visit his fiancée Olga. Olga's sister Tatiana confesses her love to Onegin. But he rejects her. At a ball, he amuses himself by flirting with Olga, provoking the anger of his friend, who challenges him to a duel. In adapting Pushkin's poem for opera, Tchaikovsky created a dazzling masterpiece that captivates with its stirring music and numerous introspective arias.

The Confluence des Arts et des Savoirs association is offering nine selections from the Metropolitan Opera as part of its HD-Live broadcasts for the 2025-2026 season, as well as an evening tribute to Maria Callas.
