Château de Borie-Petit

The residence was originally a borie and belonged to the seigneury of Champcevinel and the chapter of Périgueux cathedral. The building is surrounded by an enclosure, the corners of which are reinforced to the east with square watchtowers, topped with pyramids, projecting from machicolations. It dates from the 15th century, with some parts dating from the 17th century. The main building was restored in the 19th century. To the west, in the middle of the meadow, stands a circular dovecote, dated 1661. In the gardens to the south, a small barlong chapel was built in the 19th century.

Private property. Free outdoor visits. Pony rides on the estate are available for a fee after registering with Etrier Périgourdin on 06 70 14 41 24.
